Cindy's Mafia Putting a hit on ALS

Cindy was diagnosed in November of 2022. We were both very surprised by the diagnosis, we thought she was going to need foot surgery. Her first symptom was drop foot on the right side. When the doctor told us her diagnosis, we were stunned.

Cindy has continued to say that all she thought about in that moment was her family. She felt no different and was still herself.

We are so grateful for our family and friends and all our cheerleaders.

We will continue to be, happy and cheerful and celebrate each day together.

We are both passionate about being part of the Walk to Defeat ALS. We hope you will join us in raising awareness and funds. The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

That's why we are walking. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: "You have ALS" again.

Blessings,

Cindy and Jeff
