Welcome to My Personal Page
In February of 2020, my husband Ken was diagnosed with ALS. As you probably know, ALS (amyotrophic later sclerosis) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Having lived with this disease for three and a half years now, we are deeply impressed with the ALS Association and the many ways it works to improve the lives of those who are living with ALS while providing hope for the future through global research and advocacy. The Walk to Defeat ALS is the primary fundraiser to allow those efforts to continue.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
