Welcome to Teresa's Personal Page

Hey All, My lab is participating in a fundraiser for ALS. We have a goal to raise $1500 as a team. Anything you could give would be helpful. Walk ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. As some of you know I have been working to understand ALS for the last 11 years. The lab I work in is currently working to identify a biomarker for ALS of which currently there is none. ALS United is currently funding this work so if you donate you would also be supporting the work.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure. Currently, Ohio and Michigan are the areas with the most cases.
ALS United uses funds to support research and support people with ALS and their caregivers. Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
