The reason I continue to do this is because I lost my only sister to this disease in 2017. One of the many promises I made her was that I will continue to walk even after she is gone. I do feel like our team is making a difference due to the fact that when she was diagnosed no one even knew what this was. Since she has left us our team has gotten smaller each year but I know if I have to walk alone that’s what I will do. I do appreciate the people that still support us and this cause. Grief has no end date and I still struggle more than anyone will ever know. Some days it’s really bad but I continue to be strong because that’s what she would have wanted.
