Welcome to My Personal Page

This year’s walk will be bittersweet for me. Jim passed away in December 2024, but I know that he would want us to carry on his tradition of raising money for the organization that he loved and that helped him so much during his fight with ALS. It’s hard to describe what a difference ALS United Ohio makes when you are diagnosed (or married to someone who is diagnosed) with this disease. They are a community of people who know what you are going through and connect you to other people with ALS through the support group. They loan out many of the numerous pieces of equipment that you eventually need to live a quality life or give grants for equipment that you have to buy. And they share knowledge and resources which are so very important whenever some new challenge or problem comes up. I don’t think he could have kept his positive attitude without them. He looked forward to support group meetings every month and especially looked forward to this walk. We will miss his smiling face when we walk this year! But we look forward to seeing many familiar faces!
