As most of you are aware, Jeff has managed a motor neuron disease since the mid 1990s, which was officially diagnosed as ALS in 2018.. His neurologist indicates that his ALS pattern is "weird" as it has not followed the normal ALS progression which is a good thing and a blessing. The path forward is unknown, but the support of ALS United is tremendous. We attend monthly education meetings to stay abreast of the multiple dimensions of this cruel disease. We see the support that the fundraising dollars provide to local PALS (patients with ALS). We will be walking 1-2 miles at the 2024 ALS walk on September 15 @ 11 am (check-in 9:30 am) at Coffman Park Pavilion located in Dublin. We hope that you will join us at Coffman Park or virtually for 1-2 mile walk and a donation of $10.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.

That's why we are walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: "You have ALS" again.

The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.

But we can't stop now. The key to a cure begins with you. Join Team Guglielmi for the ALS Walk on September 15, 11:00 am ( check-in 9:30 am)
