Gailblazers

Dear Family and Friends,

Gail has been living with ALS since her diagnosis in 2020. We are blessed by her slow progression and are thankful every day. It is truly a miracle!

Since 2021, Team Gailblazers has raised over $30,000  in the Walks to Defeat ALS presented by ALS United Ohio.

We would like to ask you to consider joining Team Gailblazers again this year on Sunday, September 22, for the 2024 Walk to Defeat ALS sponsored by ALS United Ohio.

It will be held at Winton Woods Park-Harper Meadows Area and check in begins at 9:30 am.

We will walk as a group to show our support not only for Gail, but for all of those who have been diagnosed with ALS. The steps we take that day will put the ALS community one step closer to finding a cure.

This year, we are excited to be walking once again with others living with ALS and their teams of families and friends. There is strength and inspiration being with others who are on the same journey.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING TEAM GAILBLAZERS!!

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
That’s why we’re participating in the Walk ALS event. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments a cure. Will you join us?

ABOUT ALS

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
