Let's raise some money to fight ALS!
My dad, Rick Evans, passed away peacefully last October surrounded by our family. He fought ALS courageously after only having been diagnosed two months earlier.
Our dad dedicated 30 years of his life as a firefighter with the City of Norwood. He proudly wore badge No. 46.
As we near the one-year anniversary of our dad's passing, we're choosing to stand up to ALS and raise funds to help fight this terrible disease.
In dad's honor, we're forming a team, Rick's ALStars, to walk with the Cincinnati chapter of ALS United Ohio.
We set a goal to raise $4,600 for dad's badge No. 46. Please consider donating if you're able.

Thank you for helping me reach my Walk ALS fundraising goal! Walk ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
But we can't stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
